The Search Engine Marketing Manager role is a key position in the Online Marketing team responsible for creating and managing high volume PPC campaigns with large budgets on Facebook, Google and Bing. This role requires the ability to lead programs, manage resources, execute on customer acquisition strategies/plans, work well across departments, as well as multi-task responsibilities. The manager must be able to analyze and track data to maximize the performance of each campaign to achieve revenue, profit and growth goals. This individual must also be able to continuously research, identify and execute on testing new online marketing channels to drive traffic and revenue. Environment is fast-paced and very teamwork-oriented. Candidate must be flexible, independent and quick to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and launch marketing programs, projects and new channels in SEM (including but not limited to: keyword expansion, account restructure/clean up, ad-copy optimization, performance analyses, landing page optimization and bid management)
Develop and execute on online marketing plans to meet and exceed revenue and traffic goals
Be knowledgeable with data and leverage analytics tools and resources (Omniture, Hitwise) to understand and optimize the performance of marketing campaigns
Work closely with analysts to understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to grow and gain market share
Work closely with PR and Sales teams to be able to create offers and promotions and identify marketing channels and programs through which these offers and promotions can be executed to increase revenue, as well as PriceGrabber.com’s brand awareness and consumer value proposition
Develop testing plans and execute new online marketing programs, such as display, social ads, re-targeting and mobile ads
Take initiative to help formulate strategies/plans around future online marketing programs and opportunities
3 to 5 years hands-on experience in search marketing managing large keyword volume (millions) and spend budget ($millions)
Google AdWords and Bing AdCenter certified
Experience working with 3rd party bid management solutions and agencies
Experience in successfully executing new marketing programs
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills. Comfortable with large data sets
Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently
Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work effectively in fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments and teams
