We are seeking a mid to senior level front-end web developer/designer to join our team and help shape the future of our marketing and advertising services. You will engage closely with designers, engineers and embrace our exciting work-hard, play-hard environment. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science required
• Ability to manage a creative team
• Ability to demonstrate cross-disciplinary qualities (design and development)
• Experience in front-end design, including brand identity, design, and logos (in affiliate
marketing preferred)
• At least two years of experience in web design and development
• Experience with Linux, NginX, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript
• Experience with MV* frameworks like Backbone.js
• Experience with Node.js
• Experience with HTML5 and CSS
• Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks like Yii, Zend, or Laravel
• Experience working in an Agile environment. Scrum experience preferred.
• Experience with Git, SVN, or other code management systems
• Experience with XML, JSON, JSONP formats
• Ability to create highly readable code with superior commenting
• Ability to collaborate with the engineering/development team to successfully hand off site
operations and management
• Extensive knowledge and experience with relational databases in MySQL or MariaDB
• Ability to think critically and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in business strategy preferred
• An online portfolio of projects is required to be considered for the position
