Email Marketing Manager
Direct Response Advertising Agency is seeking an experienced, analytical, motivated, and creative Email Marketing Manager to join our Los Angeles (El Segundo) office. This is a full-time position. As an Email Marketing Manager, you will be part of our Insurance team managing our internal email data, working with 3rd party advertisers and emailers to generate leads for our clients. You will work closely with our team of Account Managers, Developers, Affiliate Marketers, and the head of the division on a daily basis to maximize email revenue for the company.
Ideal candidates will be organized, strategic, quick learners, able to work independently, and experienced in online lead generation and email marketing. Applicants must have excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work efficiently in a team environment, and can manage multiple projects at once.
We are looking for someone to take the reins and develop our internal email marketing strategy, and if successful, build a team to support them. Candidates must have experience with multiple ESPs and the understanding of email marketing best practices.
Desired Skills & Experience
Responsibilities include:
- Brainstorming tactics to generate revenue via email marketing
- Monitoring performance of email campaigns and implementing strategies for optimization
- Building and maintaining email lists
- Optimize emails for deliverability, open rates, click through, conversion and mobile devices.
- Managing the creation and built out of html email creatives
- Developing strategic solutions to grow email marketing revenues
- Providing comprehensive analysis of performance, key metrics and trends
- Identify and resolve deliverability issues, bounce backs, spam complaints, and opt-outs
- Keeping up to date with email marketing best practices and strategies
- Implement effective and efficient processes for generating leads via email marketing
- Attend and participate in weekly Team meetings
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency and productivity
- Conduct analysis of results and develop testing plans to continuously improve email performance
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree from 4-year university required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in email marketing
- Strong attention to detail is essential
- Understanding of online lead generation is preferred
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
- Ability to strategize, analyze, and optimize around data
- Proven leader with strong collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Microsoft Excel fluency is required
- Working knowledge of web development process, affiliate marketing and search engine marketing
- Advanced oral and written communication skills required
