Director of Business Development

This position is responsible for identifying, prospecting and closing new advertiser opportunities. The individual will be responsible for determining new channels or sectors, then prospecting and closing new advertising partners. In addition this person will be responsible for on-boarding the new advertiser. The ideal person will have at least 5 years of industry knowledge in: Affiliate Marketing, Direct Response Advertising, Online Agency and Client Management. This person has to be a self-starter, very confidant and have a rolodex of clients that they can call
Responsibilities:
 • Research, identify and source business relationships with advertisers who own online products.
• Prospect and schedule phone calls, in person meetings travel for trade shows.
• Structure, negotiate and close deals with partners, actively nurturing a robust deal pipeline
• On-board the advertiser from Contract to launch
• Partner with internal Marketing Services traffic team & technology teams on items requiring cross-department collaboration
• Coordinate deal implementation between external partners and internal departments

Desired Skills & Experience

•5+ years of outbound affiliate marketing or agency sales experience!

•Strong telephone skills required

•Strong negotiation and deal making skills.

•Complete understanding of the performance marketing, affiliate, agency and lead
generation spaces

•Exceptional oral and written communicator across all levels of the company

•Tremendously efficient in all Microsoft applications

•You must be a self-starter and be able to drive this part of the business forward

•A consultative, educational sales approach balanced with assumptive transactional style.

•Must be responsive, resourceful, professional, proactive and an independent problem solver
