Company is a leading vitamin and supplement company, specializing in health and wellness. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a product line launch supported with the name recognition and marketing power of one of the most respected and recognized brands in the world. We are in the process of launching, and will have a “start-up” feel as we build everything from marketing strategy to technological platforms from the ground up.
The Position
This is a full time position working closely with the CEO. We’re looking for a world-class Developer. This is a key role that will combine the vision of our e-commerce site with the art of programming. The Back-End Web Developer will be responsible for translation of the UI/UX design wireframes and mockups to actual code that will produce visual elements of our E-commerce platform on desktop and mobile devices. The Front-End Web Developer will work with the Marketing and E-commerce teams and bridge the gap between visual design, SEO and technical implementation, taking an active role to ensure the group fully understands all available options and capabilities while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the Adult Sexual Wellness Industry.
Compensation commensurate on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develops user-focused solutions spanning multiple infrastructure technologies, incorporate responsive design.
- Web development work to include design and implementation of new features to support our e-commerce initiatives.
- Works with back-end development, project managers, business analysts, content specialists, Quality Assurance and others to understand how business requirements and technical specifications will translate to actual work product across our platform.
- Designs, implements and communicates best fit UI standards.
- Designs and develops brand websites, landing pages, emails, and banner ads.
- Develops and integrates UX and UI design that maximizes user experience and application usability that matches PSD comps and wireframes.
- Writes clean, efficient and well-engineered front-end code that can serve as a standard of excellence for other team members.
- Continually aligns UI needs to meet business requirements while optimizing the user experience.
- Collaborates with our Creative Team to ensure designs fit within our brand standards and identity.
- Conducts and participates in collaborative technology discussions, and accepts and provides constructive criticism in a professional manner.
- Documents processes, standards and projects as needed for cross training and reusability.
- Assists in collaborative efforts through all phases of our release life cycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and release support.
- Participates in planned and unplanned website maintenance, system patching and ongoing production support needs.
- Performs peer code review and packages releases for production deployment.
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in website design and development and applies this to the execution and improvement of our initiatives.
Education & Experience
- Excellent HTMLS5, CSS3, LESS/SASS experience
- Coding valid XHTML and CSS mark-up
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code
- Knowledge of Front End Frameworks
- Comfortable writing technical specs and maintaining documents
- Familiarity with testing and developing across multiple devices/platforms and browsers
- Understanding of client-side scripting and with JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
