In this role, you will handle all duties related to the company’s finances. You will be responsible for all bookkeeping functions within the company, including interfacing with the company’s CPA firm as necessary. You must have demonstrable experience in prior full-charge bookkeeping and/or Accounting Manager roles, preferably in which you wore multiple hats and helped drive the financial operations of the company. You should be intensely detail-oriented and accept nothing less than absolute accuracy in your work. As a small business, you will be expected to wear multiple hats within the Accounting department.
A few of the key responsibilities will be:
-A/R, A/P, General Ledger, Trial Balance, Monthly Profit & Loss, Month-End Close
-Managerial accounting duties including: Cash Flow Forecasts, Risk Management -Reviews, Create/Maintain Budgets
-Create and deliver various financial reports as necessary
-Financial forecasting and data analysis
-Daily bank account and credit card reconciliations
-Deliver monthly, quarterly and yearly financials on time
-Administrate company’s payroll through Quickbooks
-Compile tax data for external CPA firm
-Analyze and report operating expenses and explain variances
-General office management as needed
-Highly trustworthy and ethical
-Accuracy in your work is an absolute must
-Must be able to communicate (written/verbal) in a professional manner with supervisors and peers with a ‘Can do’ attitude
-3+ years use of Quickbooks
-Proficient with Quickbooks payroll software
-Strong experience in collections
-HR knowledge is a plus
-High degree of proficiency with and strong working knowledge of Microsoft -Excel including pivot tables
-Computer and internet-savvy
-Ability to prioritize tasks
-Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills
-Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business strongly preferred, but not a requirement if candidate’s experience in accounting/finance is considerable.
-Experience working in small businesses is a plus!
